 Perfect fall legging - size medium Nov 11, 2010

Please note this review is for the size medium. This legging is perfect - it's not cotton, so it doesnt pill, and when you take it off, it retains its shape. I suspect it will hold up well to washing, and have a feeling that it will last a loooong time (it's spandex, that stuff doesnt even decompose when you burn it! kidding...)
anyway, i did buy the XL originally bc I didnt want the Medium to stretch so much that my skin (or some of its imperfections) would be visible -- you know, when you get that 'stretched' look on some parts of your body -- not classy. Anyway, the XL was too large for me, but I did return them and get a medium (which is what I normally wear), and that fit just fine. The fabric is not cheap or too thin, so even with the medium, I'm not getting the 'stretched' look.
Hope this helped! Also, i wish they made this exact legging in more colors/that they carried other colors on amazon.

Good quality and fit - not sure about the material Nov 11, 2010

I am a size 8 and got these in a medium. They are a mid-weight material great for fall, a great fit all over, and are very comfortable. They feel well made and are a length that would work for probably any height. My problem is with the material. I expected that fashion leggings would be more cottony in feel. These are matte and do look great with sweaters, but just feel a little to slick to the touch to make them my favorite.

These leggings are very comfortable and have a nice fit. They are a little shiny, which is why I gave them four stars instead of five. The fabric seems very durable, though.

These are pretty comfortable, but the material feels exactly like a swimsuit. They're definitely not sheer, so they're ok for using as leggings but they don't quite have the right amount of stretch. I ordered a large, which is my usual size and they feel snug enough, but they sag around the knees and ankles. I definitely would not be comfortable wearing a medium. And as other reviewers mentioned, the material is just a bit too shiny for the office. I will definitely wear them, but probably under pants on colder days, or just around the house on weekends. For fashionable, go everywhere leggings, will have to keep looking.

Perfect as Underlayer or Outer Layer Jan 24, 2011

Love these leggings, will get more. I bought them initially to wear as an outer layer with brown things, but needed a quick underlayer once, and these happened to be around - so i put them on under my pants. They were AWESOME!
As underlayer: I've tried everything from American Apparel's leggings to footless tights (pantyhose material) to keep me warm -- these provide the best mix of warmth and also the all-important ability to *slide* under pants. Most other items ive tried (including AmerApparel's leggings and footless tights) create friction when worn underneath pants, so that you're never completely comfortable -- your pants are always in one direction and your underlayer in another. With these, you almost dont notice that youre wearing them -- the weave on the outside of the fabric is just right - unlike the spandexy Amerian Apparel leggings i bought for the same purpose. And I presume that if you sweat, because it's not all cotton, it dries faster.
As an outer layer, they're also fantastic -- they're thick enough that they dont show cellulite (i got the brown color which helps with that - though keep in mind i'm a size M and don't have a TON of it). They're mostly spandex in terms of feel, which is great bc they dress up a little bit better than plain cotton leggings -- I cant imagine wearing my beautiful silk tunic with cotton leggings (unless i'm going totally casual - but I want to be able to wear the tunic/leggings to work, too). Just the right amount of stretch, while maintaining the shape much better than cotton over time.
The only thing is that when you wear them under clothes, there is some pilling going on in the back at the top (by the hem) where pant tags rub up on these -- so I might need another pair -- but at this price, it's totally worth it -- and considering how versatile of an item leggings are, it's good to have 2 of them, esp for the longer term, and esp since theyre a great underlayer. Actually, I just checked, and there seems to be pilling in a few other places (in much smaller quantities), but probably all of it is a result of wearing these under clothes. I suspect the cotton in the blend is responsible for that. Still, I give this item 5 stars.
