This is a good basic garter belt with rather traditional styling.
It can cause a "muffintop" at your hips if you have love handles.
I'm 5'10", 32" inseam (crotch to bottom of foot) and found that the length of the garter straps in the front were slightly too long (but still usable). I could not shorten them enough in the front to my *ideal* thigh-high height. If you have longer legs, this might actually work out in your favor. If you have shorter legs, it could be a problem if you need the garters to actually hold up your thigh-highs. If you're using some of the thigh-highs with the silicon/non-slip backing, it may not be as much of an issue.
Note: I was wearing the belt somewhat low on my hips. It's possible that wearing it higher could alleviate some of these issues.
The medium/large was suitable for me. I'm normally around a US dress/pant size 10.

This is my first garter belt and it's much better than what I expected. The belt and straps fit perfectly and now I don't have to worry about my thigh highs slipping down! Design, comfort, and practicality, I love everything about it!

Don't forget the garter belt because you will need it. The stockings feel good on my skin and this lace portion is as wide as it looks.
